Picking apples at Two Sisters

One of the main reasons we started Two Sisters Orchard was to give families a chance to come pick apples together. Please read these details before visiting.

• Picking time: Sunday, September 27, from 1–2 PM only.
• Getting there: 700 East Lake Drive, Shell Lake. Park by our house. The orchard is a ¼-mile walk from there.
• Price: $3.50 per pound, with a 10-pound minimum.
• Tasting: We know you may want to taste an apple while picking! That is part of the experience.

Our dropped-apple policy

Many people wonder why orchards do not allow U-pick. The reason is simple: when people pick roughly, apples fall to the ground and are not picked up. Those apples go to waste, and the orchard loses money. So, here is our policy:

We will show you how to pick apples gently. If an apple falls into the grass while you are picking, please put that apple in your bag. It will be perfectly fine. We cannot leave hundreds of apples on the ground.

If this policy does not work for you, we understand, but please do not come out for U-pick.
